Cody Wolfe Dazzels Crowd At Mohegan Sun Wednesday Night:

The crowd was silent Wednesday night as Cody Wolfe took the stage at one of Connecticut’s premiere concert venues: Mohegan Suns Wolf Den.

The crowd gathered for Hall Communications, Locals Live at Mohegan Sun night. A competition of original artists competing for $5,000 and a chance to play The Wolf Den for 2026. Wolfe was one of 12 acts performing for the grand prize.

The date was a “last minute surprise” says Wolfe; “I had one week to pull a band together and I knew just who to call, bass player Eric made it happen, I hired him as a guitar tech but I couldn’t believe how tight his bass playing groove was, he volunteered to back me and we had a really small window to make it happen as he tours as a road tech in The Warren Haynes Band. He literally played my show with me at Mohegan and was back on the road the following week. Crazy life of a touring badass road warrior.

Lot of people are asking where next from here. Well we obviously didn’t win the contest, which I knew was going to happen, it was about local draw and votes. I haven’t played a full band show since 2018. So for me it was more or less an audit to see where I’m at with a good band and new songs after buying the new gear I always dreamed about. I need to go to Nashville and get a show put together I still have programming, mics and wireless I have to buy among a few other things. Before I am able to tour. I thought we sounded amazing though. There were many many talented local acts and cover bands, we lost to a cover band, but a darn good one.

I am fully confident have I used my email list we would have probably won but I knew the band wouldn’t be able to make another appearance due to Eric’s tour. So I didn’t bother really pushing for a draw or a second date. Very proud of these guys for helping me get it together and once I get to Nashville and iron out some of the kinks and I have a sound I am fully happy with I will book more shows. Overall this was fantastic and I want to thank Mohegan Sun for having me it was an honor to sign my name next to so many that have played that legendary venue. I really hope we get asked back.”

The acts that have played that venue in the past include: Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan and Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers such as Chubby Checker and Run DMC. People that didn’t know what to expect were pleasantly surprised with the performance which wowed local radio personalities as well as the venues own staff which were delighted to hear originals like “Don’t Blame Your Drunk On Me” “Better Without You” and “Born On The Mississippi” and Covers like “Bad Moon Rising” and “Bring It Down To Jelly Roll” brought to life with a fully amped up light show. It was a very fitting venue for the music style which is a southern rock, country swamp rock and it definitely did not disappoint. “We already had a few venues offering to book me into next year which is a great sign, I am excited to start playing shows again”
